Security Access Control policy for Apple Devices

The key features of the Security Access Control Policy are as follows:

  1. Disable Camera: This feature completely turns off the device's cameras and FaceTime to prevent photography or video capture. It is applicable only to supervised devices and is common in high-security environments.

  2. USB Restricted Mode: This mode protects against device compromise via USB by disallowing data connections to USB accessories when the iPhone is locked. It ensures that the Lightning/USB port wonโ€™t transmit data without an unlock after a short period of being locked. This feature is also applicable only to supervised devices.

  3. Biometric Unlock Controls: This feature controls the use of Face ID/Touch ID for unlocking devices. Administrators can require a passcode after a certain interval or disable biometric unlock entirely for security purposes. It is applicable to both supervised and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) scenarios.
