Introducing the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Events Dashboard

Release Date: September 2026

We are excited to announce the launch of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Events Dashboard, a centralized hub for administrators to monitor and analyze security activity across web applications. This update provides real-time visibility into how your organization’s DLP policies are protecting sensitive data.

Key Highlights

  • Centralized Security Monitoring: A new dashboard under Shadow IT > Data Loss Prevention provides a high-level summary of all DLP activity, including total events, blocked actions, and outcome trends.

  • Interactive Trend Analysis: Visualize security activity over time with an interactive line chart. Hover over data points to see specific event counts and identify potential security spikes or trends.

  • Detailed Event Tracking: The new events table offers a comprehensive log of every trigger, capturing essential metadata such as:

    • Application & Domain: Where the event occurred (e.g., Jira, Gmail).

    • User Action: The specific method triggered (e.g., DOM_COMMENT_SUBMIT).

    • Decision & Outcome: Whether the action was blocked or allowed, and the final user outcome (e.g., "Send Anyway" or "Cancelled").

  • Privacy-First Investigation: Deep-dive into specific events using the Event Details Drawer. To maintain the highest privacy standards, Swif logs metadata like content type and length but never stores or displays raw body text.

  • Advanced Filtering: Quickly narrow down your view by filtering events by application, submitted action, decision, outcome, or specific time ranges.

  • Direct Policy Management: Each event detail includes a "View Rule" button, allowing administrators to jump directly to the relevant policy configuration in settings for immediate adjustments.

How to Access

The dashboard is located in the Swif web console under Shadow IT > Data Loss Prevention.

Note: During the initial rollout, this feature is gated. Ensure the DLP Beta Flag is enabled in your organization settings to access the dashboard.
